Due to issues with IELTS test scores not getting to the Univerisity of Washington, the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department does not accept the IELTS. The TOEFL is the only acceptable English test to fulfill the English language proficiency requirement. This is only for the CEE Department. Other departments at the University of Washington may accept the IELTS, check the requirements for any other departments you may be applying to. If the IELTS is the only test available to you, please contact the CEE Department at ceginfo@uw.edu to request consideration of the IELTS. Note: The Graduate School no longer accepts IELTS scores, unless the test was taken before June 1, 2017. If you took an IELTS test before June 1, 2017, then please check the websites of individual graduate programs to confirm if they will accept your IELTS score (many UW graduate programs do not accept IELTS scores).
