Individual students are provided with financial assistance packages in their offer letters. Individual offers to students may vary. As a general rule, master's students are provided with a scholarship that covers one-half of CMU's yearly tuition. Master's students are often hired as Graders which pay $5,000 per semester, or can be hired as a Teaching Assistant (TA) which pays $6,000 per semester. Student employment as a TA or grader is not guaranteed; additional language certification testing might also be required.
