Description
In 2018 the Faculties of Medicine and Science at the University of Geneva joined forces to create a new PhD School of Life Sciences( http://lifesciencesphd.unige.ch/ ). In this outstanding study and research environment, students enrol in one of 6 innovative and internationally competitive doctoral programs: Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biosciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ecology and Evolution, Physics of Biology, and Genomics and Digital Health.
In the PhD school, students will have the opportunity to:
1.Perform cutting edge research in one of 130 research groups across the two faculties
2.Follow a rigorous experimental and theoretical training program
3.Benefit from a clear mentoring and evaluation system
4.Acquire extra skills for professional life from a range of available course modules
5.Participate in a friendly and stimulating scientific and social community( http://phageunige.wordpress.com/ )
6.The PhD School’s working language is English.

Honors
All research groups within the PhD School provide financial support sufficient to cover the cost of living in Geneva. Applicants for Swiss Excellence fellowships( http://www.unige.ch/international/en/incoming/excellence-fellowships/swiss-government-excellence-scholarships/ ) are encouraged to apply directly to PIs if the fellowship deadline falls before the PhD School call deadline.

Requirements
In order to apply, you must hold or anticipate receiving a Master’s degree or equivalent from a university in a relevant field. You should have at least a B2 level of English.
