PhD直招介绍
Faculty of Information Technology is seeking to recruit a Doctoral Researcher in Quantum Software to work in a project starting April, 1, 2025 or as soon as possible after that until 31.7.2026. The Quantum Information and Computation (QIC) group at the University of Jyväskylä participates in cutting-edge national research projects in quantum computing—a transformative paradigm poised to revolutionize computationally intensive fields such as chemistry, simulations, and optimization. Among these projects, the Enhanced Middleware for Quantum Computing (EM4QS) initiative focuses on advancing quantum software technologies. Its objectives include: Developing robust quantum architecture description languages and programming models, beyond the current circuit paradigm. Enhancing the efficiency of quantum program execution, targeting both simulators running classical hardware (e.g. CPU and GPU), and actual hardware (e.g. QPU). Creating tools for monitoring quantum processes and visualizing results effectively. To achieve these ambitious goals, the QIC group has developed Qubernetes ( https://www.qubernetes.dev ), an open-source extension of Kubernetes tailored specifically as an experimental platform for quantum computing research. Benefits At the University of Jyväskylä, you are a recognized member of our community with a unique opportunity to influence international research. You get to participate in our international and multidisciplinary community where the welfare of each individual is important. At the University of Jyväskylä, we offer a great and lively campus area with opportunities to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Finland has a high standard of living, with free schooling (also in English), affordable childcare, good family benefits, and healthcare. Jyväskylä is located in central Finland in the Finnish lakeland and has excellent opportunities for different nature, outdoor, and sports activities. The city of Jyväskylä is a major educational center and the city has a large student population. As such there is a vibrant cultural scene in the city. To find useful information about the University of Jyväskylä, the City of Jyväskylä and living in Finland, see the University's International Staff Guide( https://www.jyu.fi/en/workwithus/international-staff-guide ).
