The Department of Statistics at Warwick is an international centre of excellence, attracting researchers from all over the world in statistics and probability. We have a thriving PhD programme and a long-established reputation for research activity of the highest quality. The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) offers an intellectually stimulating, dynamic and supportive atmosphere for PhD study. The CDT offers a unique programme for researchers to deepen their knowledge across various fields before committing to their main PhD Research topic. The department has over 60 academics plus over 60 PhD students, with expertise covering a huge range of research areas, leading to an exciting and vibrant community to study, research and learn within. Interest groups include but are not limited to: Probability Computational Statistics and Machine Learning Interdisciplinary Statistics Mathematical Finance Statistical Methodology and Theory

项目资助情况
For October 2025 intake the CDT has 10+ scholarships available. Students funded through these scholarships have full fees covered and receive a stipend for 4 years. Additionally, all funded students receive a generous Research Training Support Grant of up to £4,000 for workshops, conferences, and a study visit, plus the provision of a laptop.

申请要求
All applicants to the graduate programme should have, or expect to obtain, a bachelor's degree in mathematics or statistics, or in a subject containing a substantial mathematical component. The minimum entry requirement is a 2:1 class degree, or equivalent grades from universities outside the UK. Most successful applicants have a First-class degree or an MSc with Distinction. All applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis and exceptions can be made in particular cases, for example an applicant with practical experience within their employment which is relevant to PhD research. Overseas applicants are expected to be able to demonstrate excellent English.
